Daniel Morehead

Daniel Morehead brings a unique blend of elite playing experience and a passion for coaching youth baseball. A local standout, Daniel excelled on the mound throughout his Little League and travel ball days, rising to become a top local prospect and eventually a Division 1 pitcher, reaching the prestigious 100 mph club. After graduating from Cardinal Newman High School, Daniel turned his focus to sharing his knowledge and experience, embarking on a rewarding coaching journey.

Daniel's passion for teaching youth is evident not just on the field, but also in his role as a P.E. teacher at Jack London Elementary and his pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Education. Previously, Daniel also managed the after-school program for the Rincon Valley Unified School District.

At 917 Piner Baseball and Softball, Daniel serves as a group and private lesson instructor for aspiring pitchers. He leverages his on-field experience as a Division 1 pitcher to provide insightful coaching, combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of the mental aspects of the game.
